Watched by his helpless companions, our now rather tatty-looking second incarnation, having saved thousands of human lives, has no choice but to surrender himself to the judgement of his fellow Time Lords, alongside the also captured, evil War Lord, in this great image from the final exciting episode of the Who/TV history-making adventure, The War Games. The revelations and repercussions from this story must surely have been exciting to watch for long-term fans back in 1969.
