A story that perfectly captures the mid-way point charms of William Hartnell's impressive first season as the Doctor, alongside his three ever-likable companions (the curious Susan, adventurous Ian and the spirited Barbara), the newly released Star Flight, a tale of a stranded space passenger liner holding a dark secret linked to an emergent, deadly alien race, is a fun little adventure by Paul Hayes that never outstays its welcome. It's nicely read for BBC Audio by Christopher Naylor, who delivers a fun Hartnell voice interpretation. I bet he was clasping his lapels regularly in the recording booth!
