She thought she'd finally been rid of it on Deva Loka, thanks to the Doctor's intervention, but sadly that ancient evil known as the Mara simply buried a part of itself deeper into Tegan Jovanka's psyche than she thought. The creature would return with a vengeance in the acclaimed intellectual sequel by Christopher Bailey to his previous Kinda, Snakedance.
