Back in space and time, but as the equivalent of an 'intergalactic yo-yo' at the bidding of his Time Lord jailers, the Doctor (with Jo Grant) is sent into the far future for a tale of greed and intergalactic colonisation, alongside the emergent mutation of a primitive species into advanced power beings, during the overlong (at six parts) but good in places Season Nine space epic from Bob Baker and Dave Martin: The Mutants.
