Within the jungle of the Earth/Refusian space 'ark', the once friendly alien servants/co-habitors, the Monoids, have evolved to become their former masters' dominant and aggressive controllers, in this memorable image from the interesting if not fully successful two stories within a four-parter science fiction tale The Ark, by Paul Erickson and Lesley Scott, part of a third season for the First Doctor that attempted to be more sophisticated and diverse in its storytelling.
