An alien threat hidden within the evolutionary genetic coding of the human race it now plans to devour, the Fendahl creature would be one of the most intriguing and scary-looking monsters ever to appear in the later Tom Baker seasons, as Image of the Fendahl, from all-time WHO writing great Chris Boucher, briefly escaped the restrictions then enforced on the series by the BBC to tone down its Gothic Horror quotient. Backed up with great sound effects design from Dick Mills, I still vividly remember the creature's scary appearance marking the end of episode three's cliffhanger back in the day.
