The original series may have had only a few female enemies for the Doctor to tackle, but they were certainly all excellent. Even better, with Colin Baker's era we were introduced to a new Time Lord opponent with the Rani, and who better to play the cruel and intellectual scientist than the charismatic, stunning cat-eyed beauty Kate O'Mara. And she had a state of the art, very groovy new TARDIS to pilot, too!
