'THE TRIAL OF A TIME LORD' AT 40: TERROR OF THE VERVOIDS!

It's plant warfare against the human race within the darkened hallways and shafts of the luxury liner Hyperion III, a vessel already ensconced in murder, lies and deceit, of which the accompanying Doctor and new companion Melanie are hip-deep in trouble. Great art by Lee Johnson (for the Doctor Who - The Complete History partwork series) representing The Trial of a Time Lord episodes 9 - 12 (aka Terror of the Vervoids).

I remember a school friend and me watching the episodes live every Saturday night and really enjoyed them - the Trial scenario was finally getting more dark and dangerous with Peri's seeming demise. I also enjoyed the acclaimed Trial-less version of the story that was part of the Season 23 Collection Blu-ray set of a few years back.
