The mythic and exciting legacy of Doctor Who as one of the all-time great science fiction series would be cemented by the time of the soon-arriving Peter Davison as the show's eagerly-awaited fifth incarnation, his face gracing the cover alongside his marvellous predecessors in this lively art by stalwart Target Books artists Bill Donohoe for the two-volume Programme Guide books published in 1981 (by Jean-Marc Lofficier), which were to be a true god send for fans old and new who wanted to know all about the series. I remember the first volume paperback, with its excellent story guide, was always on my person during my secondary school years and has now become rather ragged with age and use.
All-in-all, the publications are still loved and fondly regarded for their epic nostalgia factor...
