The incredible real-life Apollo landing may have been only a few years away, but in the world of TV sci-fi, Doctor Who beat them to it back in 1966 with The Moonbase, as our TARDIS heroes make their giant leaps for mankind (and for fun) on the lunar surface. Behind the scenes at Ealing Film Studios, the leaps were less comfortable for the four actors, having to wear restrictive and pulling harnesses against their bodies.
