The official BBC audio adaptation of Peter Grimwade's Target novelisation will be out in April 2021, read by none other than the Fifth Doctor himself, Peter Davison. Davison was never happy with the onscreen realisation of the story back in 1981, so I hope he is more forgiving of, and enthused by, the audio adaptation forty years on.
The second Auton threat to planet Earth has seemingly been thwarted by The Doctor, but that doesn't stop Captain Yates and his UNIT men checking out the seemingly 'dead' colourfully disguised plastic menace, in this classic still from Terror of the Autons.
The story that scared children and upset the regular British 'Bobby' in 1971 gets a major upgrade as part of the eagerly awaited Season Eight Collection release of Classic WHO, available Feb 2021.

Its first attempt to absorb Humanity foiled, The Great Intelligence returns to trap the Second Doctor, within a scheme that sees London caught in The Web of Fear! I always loved the specially posed images showcasing the new-look Yeti creatures as they terrorise the story's memorable supporting characters of Professor Travers (Jack Watling) and his scientist daughter Anne (Tina Packer). Shots specially designed to build up the menace of the Yeti robot monsters after prior complaints that their design during the previous The Abominable Snowmen were too cute.
It's nice to see The Web of Fear being digitally remastered for Blu-ray and DVD release next year, with the missing Episode Three given the animation treatment too.
